Appendix is a vestigial organ attached to the first part of large gut and gets infected to cause symptoms.It may start as vague to severe pain in mid or upper abdomen shifting to the right lower abdomen followed by vomiting and of late fever.The golden period to operate the patient is within 48hours.But sometimes some doctors suffering from identity crisis do not like to co-operate in treating the patient and thereby valuable time is lost . This is nothing but negligence.And here the supervising authority remains mum specially in Govt./PSU run hospitals for some unknown reasons.

Sometimes specially in hospitals , for the negligence of any staff patient pays his life . And that is 100% loss for the family of the patient but staffs think it to be yet another death and tries to justify his negligence. If someone points out this he is seen as an enemy .At the same time some others say are you going to reform the society? I just cannot accept the view but landed several times in trouble by doing so.

I sometimes wonder about the definition of major and minor surgery.This is because sometimes a so called major surgery ends up like a minor procedure and minor procedure becomes major one. i think every surgery when performed meticulously looks nice and is rather a procedure only and makes the surgeon happy.

Any surgery for same disease on two different patients may not be same for surgeon.Every case is a different case and has different experience for the surgeon.
